Determination of Final Grade |
Grading: Students are expected to keep a time log of their practicum activities in which weekly KSA domains and times are noted (see form provided). The site supervisor must sign completed entries every week. These practicum logs will become part of the student's experience record to document completion of practicum requirements for state counselor intern status. Students are required to keep these logs up to date and may be asked by the instructor to produce these logs at any time during the semester. Completion of the required hours for each of the KSA domains will be one of the major components of your grade. Lamar State College clearly recognizes that the practicum site is in charge of client care, and all services provided. At the request of the practicum site, the college will immediately withdraw any student whose conduct or work may have a detrimental effect on the facility. If a student is withdrawn from an practicum site, a grade of W (withdrawal) will be placed on the student’s transcript. A student’s removal from a practicum site may disqualify the student from enrolling in other practicum courses. Your final grade is based on the following: 1. Instructor Appraisal 2. Site Supervisor Evaluation Weekly Attendance Practicum Logs 3. Class Participation Class Leadership 4. Extra Curricular Related Learning Experiences |
